Here at High Flyers, we are excited to offer Afterschool Club to the children of Bloxham C of E Primary School from 2nd June.

Afterschool Club- Half Session
Monday to Friday
Until 4.45pm

£10.50
 Per Child

Drinks and snacks are offered and then children are free to explore. We are passionate about giving children uninterrupted time to play and discover the exciting opportunities for learning and developing that exist in our carefully planned indoor and extremely generous outdoor areas.  Exciting, challenging and imaginative activities are led by staff each day to inspire and stimulate young minds and make sure there’s something brand new to get involved with.

Snacks and drinks have been offered, children play with their friends, flowing freely between our indoor and outdoor spaces. Whether they are carrying out giant science experiments, cooking up a delicious treat or designing and building a giant cityscape from cardboard boxes, our experienced staff guide children to build relationships, learn social skills, practice problem-solving and teamwork and above all, have fun! Everyone gather together for tea at 4.45pm where a healthy, light meal is served and conversation flows.

We currently hold the highest level 5 rating. Our menus run termly and are regularly reviewed by the children. We follow guidelines set by ‘ Food Standards’ for schools. All our staff hold Food Hygiene Certificates and Allergy Awareness Certificates. They will be offered a snack, drinks and if staying after 4.30 a light tea, served by warm and friendly staff.

Individual dietary requirements can be met, please inform us of your child’s needs. 

Meet the Team

We are proud to have an extremely supportive and caring team at High Flyers, all of whom have significant experience working with children and have both appropriate DBS checks and professional development training. 

Taya Smith

Taya is the manager of the after-school club at Bloxham School. With over a decade of experience as a Teaching Assistant, she knows the children exceptionally well. Taya is full of inspiration and creativity, always bringing fresh ideas to engage and stimulate the children. Her in-depth knowledge of early years education ensures a nurturing and exploratory environment where children are encouraged to try new things and develop their skills. We are proud to have such a dedicated and professional leader guiding our after-school club.

Oliver Sorrell

Oliver is an outstanding Sports Teaching Assistant at our school, renowned for his exceptional coaching skills. He excels at engaging children in team sports, fostering teamwork, and developing their athletic abilities. Oliver's energetic and professional approach makes him a valuable asset to our team. His passion for sports and dedication to teaching ensure that students not only gain new skills but also develop a love for physical activity. We are delighted to have such a dynamic and inspiring coach on board.

Nina Shears

Nina has been a dedicated member of our after-school club team and has been for some years, bringing her extensive knowledge of the children and their needs to her role. She has been instrumental in supporting and running the club, consistently demonstrating her amazing ability to motivate and engage the children. Nina's kindness and caring nature, combined with her wealth of innovative ideas, make her a beloved figure among the children. We are fortunate to have such a compassionate and creative individual contributing to the success of our after-school programme.

Gill Smith

Gill Smith has been a cornerstone of the after-school club for many years, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Known for her engagement with children, Jill captivates the children's interest and fosters a love for learning. Her deep understanding of the children and her ability to connect with them make her a beloved figure in our community. Additionally, Gill has a background as a kitchen manager, showcasing her exceptional organisational skills in planning and preparing meals for the children. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a team member.

How to Book

If you would like to book your child/children into one of our  After School Clubs then please use our online booking system. Once you have completed the initial registration it is simply a matter of selecting the sessions you would like your child/children to attend and completing the booking. We pride ourselves on being as flexible as possible and as long as there are spaces available, you can even book on the day (just ring school to let your child’s teacher know the plan).

There may be times when you need to get in touch with us. Whether it's to let us know your child can't make it today, you think they have forgotten their water bottle or you just want to have a chat about how your child is getting on.
